REALLY REALLY BIG IMAGE :: NO TABLET REQUIRED FOR INKING

It's been over two years since I created the first photoshop pen inking tutorial and now that I look at it- those spacious lines look really nasty. XD

SO I've put together a new tutorial with tips on getting different line widths, strokes, and boarders for your images.

Please note that a) I did this in PhotoShop CS2, so don't ask me for help in regards to other programs b) I mainly ink freehand using my tablet, I don't use the pen tool method very often, so I am in no way a professional pen tool user. I'm just sharing my knowledge for those who can gain from it.


With that said, hope this helps you out! Feel free to ask any questions regarding this tutorial. :)

Not bad, fav+ it's can be useful ( but I'm a 'lazy' who use pen for make the lineart ^^; ).

But, I like things like that, it's can be useful too for people who don't have tablet. :3

Wow! thanks! I could never get the pen tool to do what i wanted in PhotoShop, ironically, I find Illustrator easier to use.

I'll have to go try your amazing advice now!

You can line, but it's not so good. :(

Shudder...I remember when I didn't have illustrator and had to ink that way on photoshop. Fake vectoring that often drove me to screaming fits on my slow old puter. Thats a great tut for it though.
