=DeviantDead Round One is officially over, looks like you'll get to see even more of Eoin and Q in zombie apocalypse nightmare land! Good for you?

The judges were awesome enough to give us all a little bit of critique on what we need to work on. I must say, I am very happy with the critiques I got because it's exactly what I had expected (and wanted) to hear. I spend a lot of my audition and first round pages working on drawing people, background settings, and story pacing. Especially story. *BeatGuy and I worked and re-worked the plot, going from an initial 30 or so pages and bringing it down to 12, while still keeping the important character and plot elements. It was difficult, but very very fun and quite rewarding in the end! This has been the longest comic I've drawn and completed. Ever. LOL.

As for what I need to work on, the judges are absolutely right- I saw it coming from a mile away. Making the panels and action pop out at the reader. Varying camera angles, etc. That can really help bring out the focus of each frame and give the story a more cinematic read. This is going to be tricky, but also superfun to work on. I love crazy camera angles, so it'll be good to work on that.

SO, in summary, we succeeded at what we'd planned to do- write a good story and show good character development. This was my main concern and I'm so glad it came across well in the comic. Now to work more on the other stuff.



Also, MAJOR PROPS to our opponent ~xX-blackwing-Xx for writing a very fun and interesting comic. His art style is lively and fun and he actually has some crazy twists in his story, it was very entertaining! And thanks Blackwing for being so awesome throughout the tourney, you're a great supportive guy with a lot of talent. Keep up the amazing work, you have some wonderful ideas and good art to back them up. I look forward to seeing more from you.



And lastly, thanks to my friends and fans for sticking around through this. I'm sure you guys get BORED of seeing the same characters over and over, so my apologies. I appreciate all the commentary and feedback I've been getting- even if you leave THE DUMBEST COMMENTS EVER ugh guys really, but I still love you. C: Don't take me too seriously, you know I'm just foolin' with ya~


So now it's time to take a little breather over the holiday. Round Two will start in January and who knows what THAT will bring on. D8

Well, I'm 24 now. BEST START LOOKING FOR CASKETS AND TOMBSTONES. No, but really I feel no different I just like to make a big deal out of things for my own amusement. |D YOU KNOW MEEEEE.

It rained a lot today, which I love. Rain is my favorite kind of weather. It's fresh and washes the dirt away, leaving everything looking and smelling nice and clean. Good weather to get in an otherwise desert-like environment.

`DivineError took me to the movies, we saw The Princess and the Frog. Surprisingly was a LOT better than I was expecting. I have some issues with it, but I don't feel like getting in to that. I loved how all of the characters were portrayed SAVE for the main character Tiana. She was... boring. But everyone else was great, so they made up for it. Lovely animation. Very nice to see traditional style animated films on the big screen again. Here's hoping there are many more to come.

Wound up being too late to go out to dinner, oh wells~ I'm not gonna complain. C: I'll just put some fish sticks in the oven or something. Works fer meeeee.

I got quite a few fun birthday pics this year, I was honestly really surprised and TOTALLY grateful! Thanks to everyone who left me birthday greetings as well, each one helped make my day.
